CEDAG - The European Council for non-profit organizations
Home: Brussels, Belgium
Description: CEDAG was created in Brussels in 1989 by a number of associations, civil society and umbrella organizations from various EU Member States. It was established as a network to provide the voice for the non-profit sector at the European level on specific issues which are common to all non-profit organizations and associations. For many years CEDAG has closely followed policy developments in the area of social policy, but over the last few years this focus area has been prioritized even further.
CEDAG's members are national and regional umbrella bodies, involved in social fields of activities such as education, citizenship, culture, social and health issues, environmental issues, consumer protection and sport, uniting a big number of organizations with millions of members and, taking into account the informal networks with the new Member States, this number is likely to be multiplied.

Terra Viva Grants
Home: USA, France
Description: Terra Viva Grants is an information directory of international grant funding for agriculture, energy, environment, and natural resources in the developing world. We present the following summary of what we do at Terra Viva Grants.
- We focus on grant makers (donors) serving the developing world. Most of the world's population is there, but most of the world's funding is not.
- Most users of our information are grant seekers - people searching for financial support of their work as individuals or as organizations.
- We deliver information about funding opportunities, but we do not offer money. That is, we do not make grants or provide any other form of financial assistance.
- Grant makers included in Terra Viva Grants range from funders of community projects to funders of science and research. Visitors to our website are found at both ends of this spectrum, and in the middle of it.
- Our outreach over the internet is global. In most months, our website is visited by individuals in over 180 countries.
- Our inclusion of grant makers is similarly global. Most international grant making originates in Western Europe and North America. But we also include relevant grant makers located in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and elsewhere.
- We take a cross-institutional view of grant making to include international organizations, national government organizations, and foundations and NGOs.
- Our grants information is available at no cost except for the cost of internet connection.
