According to Naslovi, In the premises of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, representatives from 11 companies gathered inside the Serbian Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement with the Cleaner Production Centre of Serbia. The companies have pledged to complete a reorganisation process and to implement environment-friendly innovations enable protection, with the added benefit of great savings. The cleaner production approach involves a more rational use of raw materials, water and energy, the replacement of dangerous substances with ones that are environment-friendly, and the reduction of emissions.
Among these 11 companies signing the agreement are Imlek, Knjaz Milos, Carnex and Bambi. Also on the list is paint and varnish company Zveza Helios, which has come under fire recently for improper disposal of hazardous waste.
Cleaner Production Centre of Serbia was established in 2007 through initiative of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and relevant ministries.
