The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning has officially kicked up of public campaign, 'Clean up Serbia', which will run through the rest of 2009. According to B92, three sources are contributing financially to the campaign. Environmental protection fund has secured RSD 300 mln (EUR 3.15 mln) for eco industry and RSD 200 mln (EUR 2.1 mln) for municipal projects. In addition, municipalities are eligible to receive funds form the National Investment Plan and National Employment Service through several public competitions for municipal waste management projects.
